Catching Up

I've been such a slacker updated the blog, so much has happened. It's been four months! So I give you all a brief update since the last time I posted.

October
This year for Halloween, Jack wanted to be Snoopy from Peanuts.  He was Charlie Brown last year (do I sense a theme here?). When I looked up Snoopy Costumes online this is what I found:

The cheapest costume was for $40 and I was not going to spend that amount on something he would wear for a night or two.  Plus I wasn't a huge fan of the costume, so I did some searching and found a DIY snoopy costume.  Now I cannot sew, I don't even own a sewing machine, but I was able to make a costume that I thought would meet Jack's approval.

Isn't he adorable?

November
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of laughter, food and of course football.
December
Christmas was so much fun this year with Jack.  He got the whole Santa Claus legend and worked really hard to be a good listener.  He was so cute when we visited Santa.  He was timid and shy at first but we walked right up to Santa and told him his list: A drum with two sticks, a xylophone with one stick and a backhoe with a belt that moves.

He was so proud of himself that he didn't cry this year when he sat on the big guy's lap.
Mom was able to come up to visit for a few days and Jack absolutely loved the Christmas gift she gave him-a stand up microphone just like the real singers (aka Mumford and Sons) use!

Here is Jack's debut: Five Green and Speckled Frogs

And it wouldn't be Christmas without all those great traditions...
Cookies for Santa and carrots for his reindeer
Twas the Night Before Christmas with his Nonno
Opening Gifts

Jack loved his "Engine" Turtle costume

Merry Christmas!
