SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!

Today I finished closing down my classroom, thus officially starting my summer vacation.  As I was leaving the school building today, it dawned on me that it is very likely the next time that I enter the building it will be with a baby in my arms.  I will officially be 37 weeks tomorrow, and cannot believe in few short weeks  we have a baby yet again in the house.  We actually have an ultrasound on Wednesday to determine the size of her, because of my gestational diabetes, and depending on the results my doctor may induce me before 40 weeks.

Although I have developed a waddle, cannot stand up without groaning and have to pee every time I walk, sit or sneeze, it thankfully hasn't stopped me from being somewhat active.  A few weeks ago, I traveled with a girl friend down to Boston to attend a country music festival and as always had a great time.  This trip has become an annual tradition and I was very thankful I was able to make the trip down this year.

14 years of friendship

Mel's house is about a minute's walk to the beach

While I was down in Boston, Jack and Bryan stayed home and had some dude time.  They went on a train ride as well as going on a little fishing trip.  Apparently, Jacked loved fishing and even after 2 hours out on the lake he still didn't want to leave.

June was the month of concerts, for my birthday Bryan got us tickets to see the Dave Matthews Band.  The last time we saw them in concert was probably 6 years ago and for this one he was playing practically in our backyard.

set list

Such a great set list! One of my favorite songs that I have yet to hear live is Say Goodbye, and they started playing the intro to it after Save Me, but it was only a tease because they went into the song Spaceman instead.  Although I was a little bummed, all was forgiven when they ended the concert with the song Ants Marching.

This isn't from our show, but if you are unfamiliar with DMB you should definitely take a listen, and if you already are a fan I know you already have...  :)

And lastly (sorry for the long post, it's been a busy month!) we took a nice family trip down to Bar Harbor a few weeks ago.  Probably one of my last trips to the beach until next summer.  We had a little picnic lunch on Sand Beach, and Jack had a great time playing in the sand and waves and teasing the sea gulls.

Gotta love Acadia National Park

So my lovely husband took this belly shot unbeknownst to me, but I had to laugh because it looks like I just knocked out a little girl in the background with my belly.
