Last night, I watched Jack in his bedroom (through the monitor), as he grabbed the book, Go, Dog! Go! and began to read it aloud. It was one of those proud parent moments when you know you've done something right. Since he was born we have always read to him at night, and now watching my child pick up a book on his own accord and read with expression it just felt good.
The next morning, both Bryan and I commented on how we heard him reading last night and that he did a great job. His face just beamed with pride.
While I was leaving his bedroom tonight he exclaimed, "I'm going to read Go, Dog! Go! again!" So this time I was able to video tape it. The picture isn't great as I did it though his monitor, but the sound quality is decent. I only did a small clip as it is a 64 page book, but again he read it from beginning to end.
