Artichokes?

Did you know that you can grow artichokes in Maine?!  I didn't either!  When buying artichokes at the grocery store they always have the "Grown in California" sticker stamped on them, so I always assumed they were grown in the warmer climates.

However, when visiting our local greenhouse I discovered about half a dozen plants tucked into a corner.  I decided to take the gamble and purchase one for our garden.

Will let you know in a few months if it produces any artichokes for us!
