They Drive on WHICH Side of the Road?!

Bryan and I are finalizing a few last details to our Ireland trip we are taking this summer.   Our cottage in Galway has been booked, and today we were looking at hotels for the few days we will be staying in Dublin.  After we booked (a quaint family run B&B) we looked at car rentals to help get us down to our cottage.

We knew that while in the UK we will have to drive on the left side of the road, and that the steering wheel is also on the left.  An adventure for sure, but doable (I say this because I won't be the one driving).  While we were looking at rental cars, Bryan noticed that all the rental were manual and he starts to panic.

Bryan: Are they all manual?!
Me: Yeah... so? You know how to drive  a stick.
Bryan: The stick shift is going to be on the other side.
Me: Oh, I didn't even think of that...
Bryan: What about the pedals?  Are they in opposite order?? (his voice starts to rise in alarm)
Lydia: Crap, I didn't of that either....

A few minutes later after a Google search, we were relieved to find out that in the UK the order of the pedals are the same as the USA-clutch, brake, gas.
