I use to be cool

Never thought I would be uttering these words, but today we bought a mini van.  I am now officially a soccer mom!  We purchase a Mazda 5-which really is a 'mini' mini van, but it will fit our growing family perfectly. 

Bryan has more room to stretch out his long legs, Jack and his future sister will have the middle row, and of course our dog Izzy will have the back row to herself.  Can't wait to take our first family road trip!

We know that we will eventually outgrow this vehicle once our family grows (in height, not numbers!), but it is perfect for now. Plus, Jack thinks the sliding doors on the van are "super cool".

Glad, someone thinks it's cool.

We may have to add this to the back our our car.  See? Still can't bring myself to say mini van.

Friday was a big day for us not only did we buy ourselves a new family vehicle, but I picked up my cap and gown at the university for graduation in May.  Doing this kind of made it all seem real.  Its been quite the journey.  I started working toward my master's degree in 2008, and since then there has been so many changes in my life.  Some of those major changes were:

1.Adopted our dog, Izzy.

2. Bought our first home.

3. Gave birth to our son Jack.

5.  Took a year off from grad school to take care of Jack.

4. We both got new jobs. Bryan became a JMG specialist and I got a teaching job for the Bangor School Dept.

5. Bryan finished his master's degree and earned his teaching certification and now we are about to       have our second child together. 

No wonder it took 6 years!

 I am so looking forward to what lays ahead, I do however, know it will not be a second degree anytime soon!
