The dentist-take 2

I just need to say how proud we are of Jack today.  This morning, Jack had his second dentist appointment.  We were a little unsure on how it would go.  If you remember the last time he did okay; he didn't cry or make a fuss, but he didn't really let the dentist hygienist do too much .  This time we read the book, Elmo Goes to the Dentist and we told Jack that in about a month or so he would be going to the dentist.  And for the past month he has been talking about going nonstop.

When we stepped into the waiting room this morning, Jack walked in with a bounce in his step ready to go.  But we had to wait for a few minutes, so we entertained ourselves with some Doodle Pads in the children's area.  Bryan and I had a contest on who could draw the best Cookie Monster (I won).

After we were called into the hygienist's room, Jack hopped right into the chair.  He did ask me to hold his hand, but he let the hygienist count his teeth (he has 18 so far), floss, brush, apply fluoride, squirt water into his mouth, AND use the mouth suction.  Last time, the suction freaked Jack out.  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, but Jack looked so grown up seating in that chair wearing his sunglasses.  He amazes me every single day.  Love you buddy.
