Christmas has come and gone yet again. This year we spent it at home and had family members from both sides of the family up for Christmas dinner. We had a lot of fun this year with Jack. He is understanding a lot more, and the excitement from him is infectious. Having children really brings that Christmas magic alive again. Jack still isn't Santa's number one fan yet, but he knows who Santa is and can recognize him from books, movies and deptarment stores. Wasn't thrilled again about sitting on Santa's lap, but at least he didn't cry this year.
This was Jack last year...
Jack this year
The three of us opened up gifts before company came-a major difference this year was Jack enjoyed the gifts rather then the packages they came in.
Laying out cookies and milk for Santa the night before
Christmas morning-not quite awake yet
Bryan bought Jack this giant giraffe. After a few days he has decided to name him Max
Yes we bought our son a vacuum
And yes he loves it! He has used it every day and my floors have never looked better.
One of three tractors Jack received this Christmas. Nonno and Slimpa bought the other two.
I didn't get a chance to take too many pictures of family-enjoying the company to think about pictures! Dad, Dominic, and Katelyn were able to make it as well as Bryan's parents, grandmother and sister. Thank you everyone for a fabulous time!
Izzy needs to feel included
Jack's gift from Santa was a kitchen set. Jack is into pretend play and loves to help in the kitchen. Today Jack 'made' dinner. He had a bowl of cookies, I had a plate that consisted of a hot dog, chicken leg, a piece of cake, banana and a drink. And Bryan had a WHOLE lemon on his plate. Jack is such a mama's boy. :)
The day after Christmas we headed off to Lubec for a few days and Jack pretty much had a second Christmas. It's a good thing he isn't spoiled by his grandparents... :)
Jack loved helping everyone open their gifts
New tractor!
Izzy's happy! She received an indestrucable toy. Which means it took her five minutes to tear it apart instead of one
The gift we were all excited for Jack to open was a banjo-he has been obsessed with the banjo since seeing Mumford and Sons on youtube. He picked up the banjo as soon as it was out of the box and started playing it (left handed) Jury is still out on whether he will be a lefty or a righty. We also found out that Jack's great-grandfather use to be a pretty good banjo player-so it's in his blood. I really hope his interest in music continues as he gets older.
