Summertime Fun

We are truly blessed to have the summer off to spend with our son. We are having such a wonderful time going to different places and also just staying at home. The past few weeks Jack has been speaking in sentences. I cannot understand what he is saying, my heart aches when he starts gesturing and speaking and gets frustrated when we cannot understand. Jack is probably walking about 98% of the time. He loves to climb the stairs, rearrange our dining room chairs and he loves to dance to music all the time. He has also started to follow simple directions such as- Let's go take a bath, Do you want to brush your teeth?, Can I have the ball?, Go outside? Let Izzy out? Everyday it seems there is something new he can do when asked. He's is also into helping Bryan and I out with chores. The other day I was sweeping the floor and he came over and put his hand on the broom mimicking my movements. Anything he sees us doing he wants to try it too.

During the fourth we went down to Lubec to visit with Bryan's parents. We hit the parade and Jack absolutely LOVED it all! At one point the firetrucks went by blaring their horn making all of us jump and all three of the females in the group (Jack's Nana, Great Nana and myself) rush to Jack to see if the noise scared him. But Jack stood there smiling not phased a bit.
When's this thing going to start mom?

 Here come the firetrucks!

He pointed and smiled at everything!

Something we realized at this parade, is that Jack is a candy magnet!! :)  We promise to share with you next year buddy.
