Every day, Jack is becoming more and more independent. He is getting braver at crawling away from mommy daddy and going further each time. Something else we have noticed is he no longer wants us to feed him. He will be okay for the first 5 minutes, but after that he will start turning his head away, clamp his lips tight, and if we don't give him some sort of finger food, he'll start crying. Now I know Jack is my first, but he does amazingly well at using his fine motor skills to pick up the food from his tray. It still makes my heart swell when I come around the corner and he kicks his crawl into high gear and comes hustling towards me grinning that (now two teeth!) smile.
Last week, Jack had a play date with his buddy Carter. Unfortunately, Jack was fighting a cold and needed a nap by the time we arrived, so he was super sensitive and really clingy to mommy. But he enjoyed playing with Carter's toys and mommy enjoyed spending some adult time with another mom.
