Our baby boy turned one yesterday (*sniff *sniff). We feel so blessed that he was surrounded by family and friends. He was such a good boy. He took a 2 hour nap before the party and woke in such good mood and ready to party!!
At a year old he has added some more words to his vocabulary. He now calls our dog by her name 'Iss-zee' (Izzy), and his newest word is 'uh-oh!' He still hasn't taken those first steps, but is close. He will cruise around in his walker and if we hold his hands he will walk, but I don't think he has that self-confidence to do it alone. He loves to mimic us. He will make a kissy face back at you, clap his hands, etc. He has also learned to shake his head no, although he will shake i when he means yes as well!

My mom use to make us a birthday poster of whatever we were into that year. I wanted to start that tradition with Jack.
Jack did surprisingly well with opening gifts. He got a little antsy towards the end because he wanted to play with all his new toys. :)
This was Jack's first experience eating cake or anything really sweet. Not quite sure what to think of it...
Carter using a different technique to eat his piece.
Unfortunately, my memory card was full, so this video isn't too long, but it definitely shows Jack's new found love for cake!

Happy 1st Birthday, Jack! What a nice gift to Mama to sleep for 2 hours before the party :) Love, love, love continuing the tradition of poster making. Such cute pics!
